The author of this article, John N. Clayton is trying to tell his readers of his belief in God and why he thinks multiple universes don’t exist, attempting to persuade us to believe the same. He says  that since the Multiple Universe Theory was made to replace the Oscillating universe theory, which, according to this website is “ ...a universe following an eternal series of oscillations, each beginning with a big bang and ending with a big crunch; in the interim, the universe would expand for a period of time before the gravitational attraction of matter causes it to collapse back in and undergo a bounce,” it is just another excuse to ignore what he says is the evidence that creationism is true. He explains his idea of the multiple universe theory, which, if you believe his bio (the link I attached to his name), since he has some college degrees, he could have a good understanding of. Basically he explains it as something unknown causing the beginning of the multiuniverse, most of the universes having which were too harsh to support life, but then, there are two versions, one where everything collapsed in on itself and one where everything turns into vapor. Either way, the universes with laws like ours had black holes that created daughter universes like ours. He goes on to state that the multiple universe theory is based on untested ideas and assumptions. He says the multiple universe theory is a faith-based argument, but in a different way than the existence of God because God is bigger, as he says, “We see God not just as stupendously large, but rather totally infinite. Whatever number of universes one can imagine, God is greater than that.” So, these are his beliefs, and I’m sure everyone (myself included) is curious to find out if “Denial has continued to be a tool of the skeptic, even after evidence has shown the validity of the fact of the beginning and a cause.” as he claims. We’ll have to wait for an assignment where I don’t have to take a phenomenological viewpoint to find out.
